To be considered as a candidate for accommodations, a student with a disability must provide evidence from licensed professionals to prove that the student has a disability. This information is then shared with ARC for the purpose of determining reasonable accommodations.
Once a student is deemed qualified for accommodations, the Accessibility Resource Center will send them a request letter for the specific accommodations they’re seeking. ARC will work with the student and their teachers to create the necessary accommodations. If the accommodations aren’t approved, a student may appeal the decision in writing within seven (7) calendar days of receiving the denial letter.
