About Stan Lee

Lee was born Stanley Martin Lieber in 1922 in New York City. He began his career in 1939 as an assistant at Timely Comics, which would later become Marvel Comics. He quickly rose through the ranks and became an editor in 1941. During this time, he wrote stories for various comic books, including Captain America and Submariner.

In 1961, Lee and artist Jack Kirby created the Fantastic Four, which was the first superhero team in the Marvel Universe. This was followed by the creation of Spider-Man in 1962, which became one of the most popular superheroes of all time. Lee and Kirby also created the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, and the Incredible Hulk.
