Update: With the release of the latest Warzone, we've added to our best MW3 MCW loadout page with new attachments that suit the longer-range engagements of Urzikstan.

If you’re playingModern Warfare 3’s multiplayer modes at the moment, you’ll be surprised (or not!) that there’s a huge array of weapons for you to choose from and customise to suit your playstyle. As ever, though, some weapons stand out amongst the rest and are becoming MW3's most meta weapons, and the MCW is one of them.

The MCW, depending on your attachments, can be a very versatile weapon for mid-long range fights. It can hold its own at short-range too, but this is not what you want to be using it for. Without further ado, here’s our MW3 best MCW loadout with all the attachments, equipment, and gear you might need.

Best MCW Warzone loadout

  • Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor
  • Barrel: 16.5” MCW Cyclone Long Barrel
  • Stock: RB Regal Heavy Stock or SL Skeletal Vertical Grip
  • Magazine: 60 Round Drum
  • Optic: Corsio Eagleseye 2.5x

The VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor is rated by many as the best all-round option for most guns in Call of Duty Warzone, as YouTuber BennyCentral explains, this is because it increases both bullet velocity and damage range while still keeping your character off the radar. This is exceptionally important in Warzone where you're engaging enemies at a wide variety of different ranges. Keeping your bullet velocity high will make it much easier to track shots a long distances, while the Spiritfire also helps you to deal better damage for longer.

YouTuber Hero also recommends the Shadowstrike Suppressor, which keeps you off the enemy radar, and that's about it. No additional pros or cons, if you fancy keeping things basic.

This is also why the Corsio Eagleseye 2.5x comes recommended too. Optics are more important on primaries in Warzone, again because you're going to be using them a lot in long-range engagements. If you're not a fan of the clear, 2.5x magnified view that the Eagleseye 2.5x provides, you can always try a different optic such as the Slate Reflector or MK.3 Reflector, or opt for a different attachment altogether.

Warzone also necessitates a 60 Round Drum magazine or 40 Round Mag at the very minimum because of the high health totals and potential for large teams to all rush you at once.

Then the 16.5” MCW Cyclone Long Barrel, as noted below, comes recommended by multiple players and creators. It is just a solid pick for a variety of situations, helping with range, velocity and stability - which is all very useful in Warzone.

Finally, the RB Regal Heavy Stock makes a lot of sense in this situation. The big buffs to recoil control are essentially free, given you'll hopefully have a secondary SMG equipped to handle any encounters where hip fire, ADS and Sprint-to-fire speed really come into play. YouTuber RaidAway also uses the exact same loadout as above, pairing it with a Rival 9 SMG for close-range gunfights.

Alternatively, Klubo uses a SL Skeletal Vertical Grip over a stock. This is an interesting tech which relies on their ability to control the MCW's already low recoil, ditching the heavy stock for an attachment which allows the weapon to have snappier ADS. This can also be helpful in a variety of Warzone situations, letting you latch onto targets more easily as they dip in and out of cover.

On top of that, Hero ditches both the optic and stock of the MCW in favour of a rear grip and underbarrel, both to aid with his recoil control and mobility. In his loadout, he recommends both the DR-6 Handstop and Chewk Angled Grip as underbarrels. We think that the former is better, with it helping your movement more than your recoil control, as the MCW is a weapon with minimal recoil as it is.

As for his underbarrel, Hero uses the RB Claw-PSL Grip which helps with your control and aiming of the MCW. This attachment will improve our firing aim stability, gun kick control, and recoil control, making up for what some of our other attachments lack, but it isn't wholly necessary. If you're not planning on using an optic or going stockless, it's worth considering.

MW3 best MCW perks and equipment

Now that our MCW loadout is established and we’ve got a powerful SMG in our hands, it’s time to run through what equipment compliments the weapon.

  • Secondary Weapon: Renetti - our Renetti loadout has the pistol feeling more like an LMG, making it better for any surprise short-range encounters.
  • Vest: Infantry Vest - provides three gear slots and three equipment slots.
  • Gloves: Quick-Grip Gloves - increases your weapon swap speed.
  • Boots: Climbing Boots or Stalker Boots - pick depending on whether you’d rather climb/mantle or strafe faster.
  • Gear: Bone Conduction Headset - reduces combat noise, so you can hear enemy footsteps and gunfire more clearly. This can easily be swapped out for any other gear that you think will keep you alive for longer.
  • Tacticals: Flash Grenade - a versatile grenade that blinds and deafens targets so you can go in for the kill or delay.
  • Lethals: Breacher Drone - a drone that will explode when in contact with or in close proximity to a target.
  • Field Upgrades: Munitions Box or Trophy System - you can never go wrong with more ammo, but the Trophy System can destroy nearby equipment and projectiles.
